Anguillara’s pumping station was built in 1931, to counter the periodic rising of water levels due to the rain; it serves a pond of almost 8,000 hectares that pours into the river Gorzone. The pumping station is surrounded by an agricultural landscape of rare beauty, with the Euganean Hills on the west.
