Villa Zara

Villa Zara

Bagnoli di Sopra (PD)

Villa Zara in Bagnoli di Sopra is a Late-Neoclassic estate dating back to approximately the 1830s or 1840s, commissioned to a skillful architect by brothers Pietro, Paolo and Father Gaetano Zara.   It has three floors and features a symmetrical façade with doric fluted columns and a spacious staircase leading to a semi-circular foyer on the mezzanine floor. The interior of the estate is also very interesting as it follows a well-designed plan with unique solutions, especially in regards to the staircase and the hallways connecting the rooms.   Examination of some of the complex’s side walls has shown the presence of older parts, maybe belonging to the 16th-century villa the Pellegrini family owned in San Siro and inherited in 1625 from their relatives, the Zaguri family.   Adress: via Cesare Battisti 2, località San Siro, Bagnoli di Sopra (PD) Private
